Data Recovery Disclaimer

Last updated: August 26, 2026

Best-effort work only

No data-recovery outcome is guaranteed. Recovered data may be incomplete, corrupted, outdated, or unusable. Continued use of failing media can reduce recovery chances; when practical, stop using a device that shows signs of failure.

Authority and scope

The customer must confirm that they own, control, or otherwise have authority to request access to the device, account, data, or media. Work is limited to the authorized scope. Keller IT Industries may decline work involving uncertain ownership, suspected unlawful activity, unsafe media, or tools and facilities beyond our capability.

Risks and specialist referrals

Evaluation, powering on, disassembly, imaging, or attempted recovery can place unavoidable stress on damaged or failing equipment. Physically damaged media, encryption, severe contamination, large data sets, and advanced recovery may require a revised quote or specialist referral. We will seek authorization before material additional work where practical.

Customer responsibilities

Identify the most important files and provide accurate information about symptoms, encryption, prior attempts, and any existing backup. Do not send account passwords or encryption keys through public forms or ordinary scheduling notes. The customer is responsible for verifying recovered files promptly and maintaining a separate backup after delivery.

Charges and handling

Authorized evaluation and labor may be chargeable even when no usable data is recovered. Any no-data/no-fee arrangement must be stated in writing. Recovered data, temporary working copies, return media, retention, and secure deletion should be documented in the service authorization for the specific job.

Questions

Questions about a proposed recovery may be sent to CS@kellerindustries.tech or (606) 492-2811 before authorization. Do not include passwords, encryption keys, or sensitive file contents in ordinary email.
