Remote Support Consent

Last updated: August 26, 2026

Express consent

The customer must initiate or expressly approve each remote-support session and must have authority over the device, account, data, or system involved. Consent applies only to the agreed purpose and session unless a written managed-services agreement expressly authorizes a different arrangement.

Customer control and preparation

The customer may observe and end an attended session at any time. Before connecting, close private documents and applications, sign out of unrelated accounts, and back up important data when reasonably possible. Do not send passwords through website forms or ordinary scheduling notes. When administrative access is necessary, the customer may be asked to enter credentials or approve a system prompt.

Authorized actions and limitations

Remote work may include viewing the screen, changing settings, installing or removing approved software, transferring diagnostic information, restarting the device, and other actions reasonably necessary for the authorized scope. Some work can interrupt connectivity or reveal pre-existing problems. Not every issue can be diagnosed or resolved remotely; on-site, drop-off, replacement, vendor, or specialist work may be recommended.

Session records and access

Keller IT Industries will not intentionally retain unattended access after the authorized session unless the customer separately approves it in a written support agreement. Any notes, logs, or recordings must be limited to legitimate service, security, or documentation needs and handled under the Privacy Policy. Sessions are not recorded unless the customer is told and consents where required.

Ending consent

The customer may withdraw consent during a session, subject to reasonable steps needed to stop safely and preserve system integrity. Withdrawal does not erase charges for authorized work already performed.
